It is not easy to keep up with Samsung’s ever-expanding smartphone portfolio with sub-brands such as the A series and M. Samsung is now adding the Galaxy F series to this mix, a new line of smartphones that have been developed. exclusively for Flipkart. Samsung bills them as “Full On” devices – hence the prefix F, which ticks all the right boxes for Gen Z consumers. At least, that’s how the Samsung Galaxy F41, the first in this news series, is billed. Replacement cycles tend to be faster for this demanding consumer group, one reason the F41 is also available on Smart Flipkart Update plan.

Samsung is trying a new color scheme with the F41. We tested the Fusion Green (the device is also available in Fusion Black and Fusion Blue) – it’s basically a dark green shade that blends into black. It looks stylish and the plastic back doesn’t look sticky at all. It’s a fingerprint magnet. At 191g, that’s almost the optimal weight for your hand. This form factor is important considering that the device is packed with a 6000mAh battery under the hood. One of the most notable features of the F41 is battery life. You may be able to stretch it from 9 a.m. on the first day to 5 p.m. on the second day with moderate use. We wish Samsung provided a 25W charger instead of the 15W charger in the box. The device takes nearly three hours to go from 0 to 100%.

Samsung’s vibrant displays have given it an edge over the competition, especially in the price range below Rs 20,000. The F41 is no exception. The 6.4-inch Super AMOLED (1080 x 2340 pixels / 403 PPI) is one of the best in this price range and works like a binge-watch screen. We’re not big fans of the teardrop notch, but it’s not unusual at this price point. Along with the sturdy battery and vivid display, the F41 also features a reliable triple rear cam. It is driven by a 64 MP main lens that combines with an 8 MP ultra-wide lens and a 5 MP depth sensor. It’s a pretty versatile shooter with decent low-light images (in night mode) and options like Samsung’s new single take that records a burst of images and videos. The 32MP selfie camera is no slouch either.

The F41 is powered by an Exynos 9611 processor that we’ve already experienced in other Samsung devices we’ve reviewed this year like the M21 and M31S. We tested the 6 GB / 64 GB variant; there is also a 6 GB / 128 GB option. Both variants support Micro SD cards (up to 512 GB). It’s certainly not the best processor and the best RAM at this price point, but it’s enough to get the job done for most users without huffing and puffing. The F41 clocked 1288 in our Geekbench Multi-core benchmark, which is slightly better than what the M31S recorded in our tests.

Samsung’s new One UI 2.1 is available for this device. Samsung’s custom UI is layered on top of Android 10, and it’s quite pleasing to the eye. We wish the device didn’t come pre-loaded with a ton of apps, but you can uninstall them. It is a small cradle in a device that is distinguished by three key factors: the camera, screen and battery life, which are not only of importance to consumers of Generation Z, but most of India’s smartphone users. Samsung Galaxy F41 gets its money’s worth

The Samsung Galaxy F41 is available in three colors: Fusion Green, Fusion Black and Fusion Blue. It is available on Flipkart at a special introductory price of 15,499 / – (6GB / 64GB) and Rs 164999 (6GB / 128GB)
