Barack Obama’s Annual Reading List has become the most popular and anticipated reading list of the year. Well, the former US President is back, this time around, giving us a preview of the songs he listened to throughout his time in the White House.

Obama took to social media to share his playlist, a day before the launch of Part 1 of his memoir A promised land. He attached a long caption explaining what the songs meant to him. “Music has always played an important role throughout my life – and this was especially true during my presidency. Examining my notes before the debates, I was listening to “My 1st Song” by Jay-Z or “Luck Be a Lady” by Frank Sinatra. Throughout our stay at the White House, Michelle and I invited artists like Stevie Wonder and Gloria Estefan to lead afternoon workshops with young people before putting on an evening show in the East Room. And there were all kinds of performances that I’ll always remember – like Beyoncé performing “At Last” for our first dance at our inauguration, Paul McCartney serenading Michelle in the East Room with, “Michelle” and Bob. Dylan giving me a smile before disappearing after his “Times They Are a-Changin” performance. So in honor of my book coming out tomorrow, I thought about creating a playlist with some of these songs. Hope you enjoy it, ”he wrote.

We’ve compiled all of the songs mentioned in the playlist so you don’t have to search. Good listening.
