What do Vyjayanthimala, Rekha, Sridevi, Mouni Roy, Mallika Sherawat, Reena Roy and Shraddha Kapoor have in common? They have all played (or will play) a Naagin onscreen. A Naagin is a form-changing woman who can transform into a serpent. Some believe that this ability is granted to them by Lord Shiva.
Bollywood has always been intrigued by the Naagin avatar, as has India in general. When Mouni Roy is Naagin Aired on television, it was one of the most watched shows in the country. While Sridevi has tried out several iconic characters, his avatar Naagin is perhaps his most memorable. Shraddha Kapoor certainly has great shoes to fill when it comes to playing a Naagin.

The trilogy, titled Nagin, will be directed by Vishal Furia and produced by Nikhil Dwivedi.

Shraddha Kapoor was last seen in Baaghi 3 and said she was thrilled to be playing the role of a Naagin.

Statement by Shraddha Kapoor

“It’s an absolute pleasure for me to play a naagin on the screen. I grew up watching, admiring and idolizing sridevi madam Nagina and Nigahen and always wanted to play a similar role rooted in traditional Indian folklore. It’s like playing an iconic character, who has always been so fascinating to audiences, ”the actor said in a statement.

This episode of Naagin will be heavy on visual and special effects. The character “Icchadhari Naagin” was extremely fascinating to Indians and Bollywood. Ekta Kapoor’s show, Naagin, is currently in its fifth season and doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon.

It will also be interesting to see what new perspective the Furia trilogy brings to Naagin’s mythology. Will she still be tamed? Will she be a bad guy? Will she be a thousand-year-old Naagin? How relevant will Shraddha Kapoor’s portrayal of this character be?

These are questions to which we have no answers at the moment. But hopefully the directors of the movie can do something new with this character who has given Bollywood some of its greatest hits.
