Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma once again led his team to victory for the fifth time. MI won by 5 wickets last night and took home the IPL Championship trophy for the fifth time.

The Delhi Capitals won the draw and decided to beat first. But MI bowlers made them regret that decision, especially one in particular – Trent Boult. The Kiwi set a new record by being the first bowler to pick up a first ball wicket in an IPL final. Boult knocked out the powerful DC Marcus Stoinis on the first ball, shaking the Delhi team in the process.

“Obviously (Boult) is the better bowler with the new ball, when it comes to returning the ball to the batter and luckily for us we had him traded from Delhi and he didn’t disappoint anyone. ‘between us, “Rohit said, recalling what the Capitals are losing.

“Looking at the team, the strength, the balance of this team, you know I can’t point out anything (weakness) to be honest,” said the skipper.
