Just another day, just another Kardashian drama. Recently, Kim Kardashian turned 40 and celebrated her birthday with friends and family on a tropical getaway.
Kardashian flew friends and family for the extravagant outing during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and later shared numerous photos. This decision by the beauty mogul was not right for people as it has proven to be callous when people go through troubled times. This led to Twitter users slamming her for the act, which also sparked a spark in new memes.

40 and feeling so humble and blessed. There isn’t a single day that I take for granted, especially in these times when we all remember the things that really matter. On my birthday this year, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend it than with some of the people who have helped me become the woman I am today. Before COVID, I don’t think any of us really appreciated how much of a luxury it was to be able to travel and be with family and friends in a safe environment. After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine themselves, I surprised my closest entourage with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for one. brief moment. We danced, biked, swam near whales, kayaked, watched a movie on the beach and so much more. I realize that for most people this is something that is so out of reach right now, so at times like these I humbly remember how privileged my life is. # thisis40
The post drew a lot of criticism, where people called him “deaf to voice” for his actions. As her sister Kourtney Kardashian once said, “Kim, there are people dying” when she lost her earrings a few years ago, fits perfectly into this pandemic. Take a look at the tweets below.
This thread is incredibly horrible. You could have done all of this and stayed there. Or, you know, donated the money you were going to spend. Or all of the tests you used. It is not to be “humiliated” 🤦🏻♂️ https://t.co/q5kjzPEcQS

I haven’t seen my family for 4 months because I work in the public sector and I am absolutely terrified of passing Covid on to my vulnerable parents. Hope you had fun pretending things were normal, but think about those of us who stay in the real world. https://t.co/O1YL1RLSqz
