Are Diwali holidays still a thing? If you are Karan Johar, definitely yes. Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham director and head of Dharma Productions Karan Johar kicked off Bollywood Diwali parties and invited a handful of his friends.
The attendees at the Karan Johar Diwali party were the iconic Kareena Kapoor Khan, the stunning Malaika Arora, Manish Malhotra and Maheep Kapoor.
The Diwali 2020 party was exceptionally low-key given the posh parties we are used to seeing every year. However, with the pandemic and social media (and sometimes electronic media) lagging behind Bollywood this year after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, it is quite understandable that Johar does not want to draw undue attention to himself or his friends.
Kapoor Khan showed up to the party in a gray kurta and pajamas while Arora was seen in some sort of white print outfit. Malhotra was dressed in a red kurta from her latest collection. Sohail Khan’s wife Seema was also present at Karan Johar Diwali’s party.
Johar also recently published a children’s book called “Big Thoughts of Little Luv”. He is said to be inspired by his own experiences as a parent to Roohi and Yash. The book will be published by Juggernaut Books.
Before the lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, Johar was working on a historical drama, Takht which features a star-studded ensemble cast of Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar.
